Aeolus: Synthetic Filtration Engineered for Performance
For more than 20 years, patented synthetic fiber technology has been our foundation. Now part of Rensa Filtration, Aeolus manufactures both its synthetic filtration media and finished mini-pleat, V-cell, and bag filters in-house — giving us greater control over performance, customization, and production responsiveness.
Aeolus is located at 4010 Cheyenne Drive, Archdale, NC 27263, and can be contacted directly at 336-272-1268 or sales@aeoluscorp.com.
Founded in Archdale, North Carolina, Aeolus has spent over two decades perfecting fully synthetic filtration media for the HVAC industry and beyond. At the core of every Aeolus product is a patented, single-step production process that creates a three-dimensional web of coarse, fine, and ultrafine fibers — a structure engineered for exceptional dust-holding capacity, low pressure drop, and long service life.
That manufacturing capability extends from media production through finished filter assembly and in-house testing. With media production, filter manufacturing, and testing capabilities within Rensa, Aeolus has greater control over product quality, production flexibility, and responsiveness to changing stock needs, customer orders, and specialized requirements.
Unlike conventional fiberglass or blended media, Aeolus's polypropylene-based synthetic media is highly resistant to damage, non-shedding, and hydrophobic, with select product lines integrating nanofiber technology for even finer particulate capture. Combined with proprietary pleating and controlled spacing technology, the media is designed to maintain airflow and performance even in high-humidity, variable-air-volume, and demanding airflow conditions. The result is filtration media that performs reliably in demanding and moisture-rich environments — from standard commercial HVAC systems to power plants, turbines, and food processing facilities.
Every Aeolus filter is built on a rigid, waterproof plastic-board frame that resists impact, chemicals, and corrosion, and is bonded with waterproof thermoplastic adhesive for lasting durability. The signature Aeolus V-Cell design keeps airflow channels open for optimal energy efficiency while standing up to the toughest operating conditions.
In September 2025, Aeolus joined Rensa Filtration, expanding the company's access to advanced synthetic media technologies across its family of filtration brands. Today, Aeolus filters continue to serve HVAC contractors, distributors, and facility teams across North America who need filtration built for reliability, efficiency, and long-term value.

Our mission is to produce environmentally friendly, long-lasting, high-value filtration products — backed by the technical reliability to perform wherever clean air matters most.

We switched to Aeolus's SMV 4V-Cell filters for our data hall and haven't looked back. The lower resistance translated directly into measurable energy savings, and we haven't had a single filter integrity issue since installation.

The Magnes Bag Filter has completely changed our changeout schedule. We're getting close to double the filter life we had before, which means less downtime and less labor pulled away from other priorities.
Rachel D., Facility Manager, Critical Infrastructure

Our HVAC system runs in a pretty punishing environment with a lot of humidity, and most filters degrade fast. Aeolus's SMP Mini-Pleat filters have held up without the frame failures or media breakdown we used to deal with.
